Microcontrollers in a nutshell

There are several different levels of microcontrollers and microcontroller systems. Some are very small, chip-size devices to which you have to connect your own electronics. Others are larger, composed of several components and ports for input output, ready to plug right into other devices. Here is a short introduction.

RS-232 to TTL convertor

This small realization, based on one of the most common IC (MAX232) is designed to create a small and convenient TTL to RS232 and vice versa convertor.

The Beginners Basics: How to identify Electronic Components

Have a look at the article Identifying Electronic Components external on the uCHobby.com external. There is almost complete guide to identifying components found on older PCBs or discarded electronics you can recycle and use.
